The 26th National Export Day ceremony and ceremony of commemorating the top exporters of Kermanshah in 2022 was held in the presence of the Governor, MPs, Chairman of Kermanshahi Chamber, and a number of managers and economic activists.
Keyvan Kashfi, a directors board member of the Iran Chamber, considered it necessary to diversify the export items and highlighted: Kermanshah has many export potentials, including in the field of live livestock, chickpeas, carpets, handicrafts, saffron, etc.
Heidar Kadivar, the Head of the Kermanshahi Chamber, mentioned the export of nearly two billion dollars from the borders of Kermanshah and the share of 39% of Iran's exports to Iraq through the province in the first 8 months of the year.

The head of the Kermanshahi Chamber considered the accompaniment of the managers to be necessary for improving the business atmosphere and facilitating the affairs and stated: Sometimes, the excessive caution of managers turns into a problem for economic activists.

 

Keivan Kashefi, head of the Kermanshah Chamber of Commerce, mentioned the important commercial capacities of Kermanshah in the opening ceremony of the first export acceleration event,

Stating that nowadays, the broad and capable capital market, along with technology, has changed into one of the examplars of countries' development, the vice president of the Iran's Chamber of Commerce noted: Unfortunately, this market has not been used as it should be in our country.
The head of the Stock Exchange Organization said: We plan to ease the criteria for accepting knowledge-based companies in the capital market.

 

According to the CEO of the Stock Exchange Company, the capital market's share in financing has increased from 5 percent to 25 percent over the past decade.

The inauguration ceremony of The First Conference on Financing in the West of the Country was held in Kermanshah with presence of senior managers of the country's Stock Exchange.

 

The member of the board directors of the Iran’s Chamber considered one of the best financing methods that can replace bank facilities to use the capacity of the capital market that has received less attention in Kermanshah.

 

This conference was held with presence of the chairman of the Stock Exchange Organization, the CEO of the Stock Exchange Company, vice chairman of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce and the senior managers of the Stock Exchange as well as the activists of this field with 3 specialized panels.


Kermanshah hosted the knowledge-based companies’ financing panel at the Conference on Financing the West of the Country.

The panel was held at the site of Kermanshah Chamber of Commerce with presence of a team of managers of the country's Stock Exchange and a number of knowledge-based companies.
In addition, a number of knowledge-based companies raised their questions about how and when to be accepted in the capital market in this panel.

The panel of "Acceptance and Financing of Companies in Capital Market" was held in the Conference on Financing in the west of the country.

Referring to the pillars of Iran's capital market, the vice president of the Stock Exchange and Securities Company said: The main pillar of the Supreme Council of the Stock Exchange is the capital market policymaker, and then, we have the Stock Exchange and Securities Organization as the legislator.

The review panel of infrastructure and economic projects of Kermanshah province for financing from the capital market was held with presence of senior managers of the capital market.

National Council of Chickpeas of Iran
Kermanshah is one of the important producers of chickpeas in the country, and Kermanshah ranks first in terms of the production of this product and its cultivated area according to the available statistics. Considering the existence of this potential in the province and the fact that chickpea cultivation is a strategic product for Kermanshah province and the chickpea council has been established on a national basis since 2012 in order to increase the cultivated area of this crop from the province's lands as a result to increase the amount of export and currency import of this crop. Among the tasks of this council are: trying to organize domestic and foreign trade and production and consumption of chickpeas and its products, continuous global and domestic marketing, identifying international markets, and informing global and domestic prices, creating a database in the fields related to the goals and duties of the council, domestic and foreign production and commercial activities of the members and publication of specialized books, magazines, and brochures are among the tasks of this council.

Association of Livestock Producers and Exporters of Kermanshah
Kermanshah province has the best breed of livestock in the country and the region due to the suitable conditions and climate and it is one of the most capable provinces in animal husbandry and Kermanshah livestock is known as a brand in most countries based on the research conducted and climate studies. This union was established with the view of increasing the production of livestock and improving the level of animal husbandry in the province, as well as with an export view and aiming at earning currency through non-oil exports to this valuable product. Among the goals of this union are export and improvement of the quality of livestock services to members, continuous marketing, group participation, creating credit connections of the country through banks and providing financial facilities for members, creating an information bank, practical activities, consulting services, encouragement and support of investors in this direction, preventing undesired competition, accessing the global market, establishing a training course for members and attending domestic and foreign exhibitions, etc.

The province's entrepreneurship center is a complex consisting of top entrepreneurs, profesisonals, and experts in the province's entrepreneurship field, which was established independently and non-governmentally as a think tank of the province's entrepreneurship field.

Construction Industry Association
Kermanshah Province Construction Industry Association was established in 2021 with participation of 7 different stakeholders of the construction industry, including developers and investors, managing directors of manufacturing factories of construction materials, design engineers, competent supervisors and executers, building developers and contractors with the support of the Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture of Kermanshah with the following goals.
• Amending the laws and instructions that are being implemented by the relevant executive bodies and is harming the growth and development of this industry (through being proposed in Negotiation Council of Government and Private Sector)
• Organizing the training courses to enhance the scientific level and to update the knowledge of members
• Participation in construction industry exhibitions in the countries of the target community to export technical and engineering services and the construction products
• Membership in the commissions related to the construction industry of the province in order to express the opinions of the private sector and to defend their rights and to propose ideas to solve the existing problems.
• Introducing the capabilities of the association members to the executive bodies in order to use the local power in national and provincial plans and projects.

Transportation and Trade Commission
This commission was established due to the Kermanshah province’s being border and 371-km common border with the export target country (Iraq) and the need to pay attention to export, import, and transportation affairs. In the transportation and trade commission, which consists of activists in this field and expert academic, the problems of export, import, and transportation are investigated and the members of the commission make the necessary suggestions to be presented to higher authorities. Following up on the demands of exporters and importers, removing the existing obstacles and challenges of economic activists in the field of transportation, etc. are among the other tasks of the commission.

 

Industry Commission
The Industry Commission of the Kermanshah Chamber of Commerce is a series of economic and academic activists in the field of industry in Kermanshah province, who have gathered to create a broad interaction and to identify the issues and problems of this field in order to take some steps to improve and prosper the industry in the province by gathering the opinions and comments of the activists in this field. Identifying and providing solutions regarding the business environment in the field of industry, identifying opportunities and threats in the field of industry and production, consulting with the corresponding government organizations to solve issues and problems in the field of industry, etc. are among the tasks of the commission.

 

Mining Commission
The mining area of Kermanshah province is one of the great potentials and opportunities of the province in achieving economic development and creating employment. The correct utilization of mines capacity can be a step towards creating sustainable development and employment in the province and the country. Kermanshah Chamber of Mines Commission has been established aiming at identifying issues and problems in the mining sector of Kermanshah province, as well as providing advice and decision-making for those involved with presence of active representatives of this sector and academics. Making an investigation into the problems of the mining sector in the export of minerals as raw materials, investigation and expertise and providing suggestions regarding resolving the problems of the province's mines, etc. are among the tasks of the commission.

 

Tourism Commission
The Tourism Commission of Kermanshah Chamber of Commerce does it’s activities with approach of providing proper solutions to facilitate and solve the problems existing in the tourism development of the province and conducts meetings and workgroups by using experienced consultants, university lecturers, and tourism activists. Investigation and research in the field of identification of obstacles and problems in the tourism industry, development and promotion of the tourism industry, necessary coordination with relevant institutions and organizations to establish effective communication with private sector organizations, etc. are among the tasks of the commission.

 

Investment Commission
The Investment Commission of Kermanshah Chamber of Commerce was established aiming at monitoring the business environment and identifying problems on financing economic enterprises and providing solutions. Expert and opinionated people hold meetings on the issues related to money and investor and investigate the existing problems on investment in the province in this commission. Producing expert reports in the specialized field of the commission, holding expert meetings to follow up on the demands of the private sector, negotiating with officials to remove obstacles to production, monitoring and amending laws related to the commission's field of activity, etc. are among the tasks of the commission.

 

Agricultural Commission
Due to its favorable weather conditions and being four-season, Kermanshah province has many potentials in the field of agriculture. The Agricultural Commission of the Kermanshah Chamber is a series of economic activists in the fields of agriculture and food industries, as well as academic lecturers and experts, who have gathered to establish a broad interaction and to identify issues and problems in this field. Identifying the opportunities and threats in the agricultural sector of the province, consulting with the corresponding government organizations to solve problems and problems in the agricultural sector, and providing solutions and challenges for the export of agricultural products, etc. are among the tasks of the commission.

 

The first day of the exhibition was welcomed considerably and the Iraqi officials also paid a special attention to the exhibition.

Stating that the Sulaymaniyah International Construction Industry Exhibition of Iraq will be held from the 27th to the 30th of September, Keyvan Kashefi, the head of the Kermanshah Chamber and member of the board of directors of the Iranian Chamber added at the opening of the exhibition that 70 Iranian companies and 12 Kermanshahi companies will participate in this event in the form of a pavilion.

Kermanshah is the host of the 7th national conference on "Industry and University Interaction" and as it was decided in the initial plans, the conference will be held in the first half of January and the paper’s acceptance will start soon.
He continued: At the second level, the relationship between the industry and the university is mainly centered on the private sector organizations, and the private sector organizations came to work in the field of industries’ workforce training, and at the third level, the university and the industry each continue their own path.
Kashifi believes that although in our country the relationship between industry and university is something between level two and three, now the situation is much better than in previous years and we are in the closest interaction between industry and university now.

Stating that the conference on Industry and University Interaction has been held in six other provinces, including Alborz, Hamedan, Isfahan, etc, Hossein Mirmohammad Sadeghi, head of Education and Research Institute of the Iran Chamber, also pointed out: During the last year, the situation of COVID-19 disease stopped the conference set-up and the conference is going to be hosted by Kermanshah this year.

He continued: The national conference on Industry and University Interaction is organized by Education and Research Institute of the Iran Chamber, the parent university, and the chambers of commerce of each province as the three main parties.

The member of the directors’ board of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce emphasized the need to develop a plan to use the post- JCPOA II opportunity in the country.

Stating that two important economic events will occur in the country with revival of the JCPOA, he stated: The first positive consequence is the opening of space for foreign investments.
In addition, Behzad Babakhani, Deputy Coordinator of Economic Affairs of Kermanshah Governorate, also emphasized the need to increase the provincial authorities of directors to make decisions, as well as the necessity to implement the enactments of the meetings for the governmental departments.

According to the public relations report of the Kermanshah Chamber, supporting the elite youth of Kermanshah province aiming at honoring the scientific efforts of the youth of the country is one of the cultural actions of the private sector parliament in Kermanshah.
In line with its social responsibilities, the Kermanshah Chamber of Commerce honored Mohammad Bahrami, a young Kermanshahi boy who ranked first place in the humanities field of this year's national Entrance Exam, by presenting a plaque and gifts.
This elite and promising young man of our land was honored by Keivan Kashefi, the head of the Kermanshah Chamber of Commerce and directors’ board members of the Kermanshah Chamber, as well as Salman Mohammadi, the general director of Education and a group of his deputies, so that this young boy finds out the value of his scientific position in the social aspect at the beginning of his progress and prosperity route and develop a sense of commitment to the soil of his country and homeland and be able to play an effective role in building and improving the future of his country along with other future-makers of the Islamic Iran.
