Kashefi at the Conference on the Development of Economic Relations between Iran and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq: The development of new economic horizons and strategies is one of our most important goals at this conference.

According to the Public Relations Department of Kermanshah in a two-day trip of delegations of co-border provinces with Iraq to Erbil, with the presence of Keyvan Kashefi, Iran Chamber board member and a number of economic activists, the Conference on the Development of Economic Relations between Islamic Republic of Iran and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq was held in Erbil.


At this conference, Keyvan Kashefi after appreciating the actions of the economic officials of government and the private sectors of the two countries for hosting the conference, said: "We are very pleased to formulate our new economic foundations based on current and future developments in this two-day meeting."
He stated that: "The long history of trade between Iran and Iraq, and in particular the Kurdistan region, along with the potential of the two countries as well as the interest of officials and economic activists in increasing exchanges, if be based on principled planning, will boost the economy of the two countries.
He acknowledged: It seems that the current situation in the region, especially after clearing Iraq from ISIL, have created new horizons in the country's economy.
Kermanshah Chamber board member believes that formulating these new horizons and strategies is one of our most important goals at this conference.
Kashefi also said that stepping toward standard and principle-based trade, joint ventures in diverse fields such as oil and petrochemicals, agriculture and food industries, tourism and health tourism not only can consolidate bases for friendship between people and economic activists, but also improve employment, wealth and prosperity of the people of this region.
Kashefi pointed out that the commercial chambers of Iraqi Kurdistan have a wide connection with the Iranian chambers. Close and Friendly relations between chambers of Iran and Iraqi Kurdistan can be the basis for developing the diversity of bilateral economic exchanges.
The member of Iran's Chamber finally said: "On behalf of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, I would like to invite economic activists and chairmen of the Kurdistan chambers of commerce to attend Iran, and I propose that by setting a specific agenda, these meetings be held annually."
