Stating that $ 160 million worth of goods were exported from Iran to Syria in the first nine months of this year, the head of the Iran-Syria Joint Chamber of Commerce added: "This amount is 90% more than the corresponding period last year when we exported $ 84 million to Syria."

He declared the engineering industries (parts and components of steam turbines), foodstuff, and pharmaceutical industries as the most exported goods in this period, respectively.

Kashefi stated that the amount of imports from Syria to Iran in the first nine months of this year was $ 22.9 million and noted: We had a 53% increase compared to last year's imports of about $ 15 million in this sector.

Kashefi also mentioned the establishment of an Iranian Trade Center in Damascus, which could facilitate the increase of trade interactions between the two countries, and has recently started its activities with the help of the Iran Chamber.
